Lake Wenatchee
Lake Wenatchee is a scenic lake located west of Leavenworth and is nestled in a mountain valley, fed by the Little Wenatchee and White Rivers. Every year thousands of sockeye salmon make their way up the Columbia River and turn up the Wenatchee River heading for Lake Wenatchee. They arrive in the lake in mid to late July and hang out until September when they venture up the White and Little Wenatchee Rivers to their spawning grounds. This results in a fantastic fishery for these tasty salmon. It's short lived however, generally lasting from about two to four weeks during the month of August depending on when and if enough fish make it to the lake to sustain a fishery. We launch at Lake Wenatchee State Park. Discover Pass required for parking.
