Walleye
Scientific name: Sander vitreus
Walleye are not native to Washington and were, presumably, illegally stocked here. They first showed up in Banks Lake in 1962 and from there were able to spread throughout the entire Columbia River and to all the Columbia Basin Reservoirs. They are fantastic table fare and are a favorite among anglers. We fish for walleye at Potholes Reservoir, Banks Lake or Moses Lake.
